Why is my price not readable if it is on the page?
We fail this Check when the rendered text carries price-like strings and the page has 0 structured price fields.
What it is
This is the paired finding to the offer price Check. It names the case where a price is on the page only as display text.
Our price pattern accepts a currency symbol or code followed by a figure with no decimals or exactly 2. It rejects abbreviated magnitudes such as $1.9M and anything followed by a percent sign, so a marketing statistic is not read as a price.
The Check is emitted only when the condition holds, so it has no Pass state. Publish a structured price and it stops appearing in your Report.
Why an agent needs it
A figure inside a styled heading is a string in a document. An agent cannot tell your price from your discount, your setup fee or a number in a testimonial.
This is the gap that shows up when an agent is asked to shortlist suppliers by price. An unparseable figure is treated the same way as no figure.
The Fix
Mirror every displayed price into an Offer with `price` as a bare number and `priceCurrency` as the ISO code. Render both from one source so they cannot drift.
Where a page shows several figures, mark up only the one that is the price of the offer. Leave fees and savings as text, or give them their own fields.
We never choose which of your numbers is the price, so the figure has to come from you.
A Deep Scan writes this one for you. It arrives in the Fix Pack, generated from the pages we crawled on your site.
