Can AI agents read a JavaScript site?

We count the characters of text in the HTML as served, before any script runs.

What it is

We take the HTML exactly as it arrives, remove the script, style, noscript, template and svg elements, and count the visible text that remains.

Under 600 characters is a Fail, 600 to 1500 is a Warning, and above that is a Pass. A count of 0 means the body carried no text at all.

This is a measure of what the HTML contains, not of how your framework works. A React or Vue site that renders on the server passes it comfortably.

Why an agent needs it

Most clients fetching a page for an agent read HTML and never execute your JavaScript. A page whose text arrives by script is an empty shell to them.

This Check gates the ones after it. If the text is not in the HTML, your headings, prices and contact links are not either, and several Checks fail together for one cause.

The Fix

Server-render or pre-render the text, headings and prices so they are in the HTML response. Most frameworks support this with a build setting rather than a rewrite.

Confirm it by fetching the page with a plain HTTP client and reading the body. Viewing source in a browser after the scripts have run tells you nothing.

Where a section genuinely has to load client-side, keep the page's core prose in the initial HTML. Interactive widgets can hydrate afterwards.

This one is a change in your own markup or edge configuration, so the Fix Pack cannot write it for you. A Report names every page it affects, with the Evidence.
